Unfilled gaps between baseboards and walls, where exposed to view, shall be tightly fitted. Unfilled gaps in excess of 2 mm are not acceptable.
- Warranty
One-Year - Work and MaterialsMinor gaps caused by normal shrinkage of materials due to drying after construction are excluded from the statutory warranty.
- Action
Gaps not meeting the acceptable condition shall be repaired.
- Remarks
The gap can be measured using an appropriate feeler gauge. Gaps may be filled with a compatible material as an acceptable repair. The homeowner has a responsibility to maintain proper indoor humidity levels through humidification, ventilation, air conditioning or dehumidification.
