CE 7.20: Flow Velocity Or Imbalance In Domestic Water Systems

Water flow velocity and system balance in domestic water pipes should meet the requirements of the Ontario Building Code and the design.

Systems not meeting the acceptable performance criteria shall be repaired.

Excessive flow velocity is believed to promote pinhole leakage in pipes. A lack of balance can contribute to excessive flow in some pipes, with lower flow in others.
