Mechanical equipment shall be installed with appropriate sound and vibration control measures to limit noise and vibration transmission to occupied spaces.

“Occupied spaces” means those areas normally occupied by residents. Noises or vibration likely to disturb the quiet enjoyment of a reasonable occupant should be addressed.
